A month to progress and tumble

The semester is over, which means I have one wintery month ahead of me to dedicate to expanding my business, creating and seeking new opportunities, and improving my life in general. This will include, as usual, refining the website, possibly doing extra advertising, networking with colleagues, and coming up with new products and exciting ways to present them to customers. I worked a good amount this past year, but next year is looking slim so I'd like to book some more jobs ASAP. Especially because I'll be interning at CNBC starting late January, and won't be able to hold a paying day job during the week for five or six months. Weekends will be my most available time of the week, which is perfect for shooting jobs or meeting clients.
I always debate with myself whether it's better to expose myself transparently to my client base, or put on a professional front. I do twitter, but I admittedly self-censor a bit and try to keep it free of foul language or risque content in general. However, I've found that many photographers and artists find success in exposing the public to their full personality and being, not just their work. Perhaps it's part of these new post-modernist times. Well anyways, for those interested, I invite you to subscribe to my personal Tumblr blog. Tumblr is a relative new-comer in a world of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and the like. It's a blog site basically, but allows one to easily post text, links, quotes, pictures, video, and audio through a very simple intuitive interface. It all comes together on the blog itself as a sort of multimedia regurgitation of an individual's online habits. You can even combine it with facebook and your twitter posts. If you ask me, it still has a way to go design-wise, but it's a wonderful concept and well-suited to people like myself who not only constantly look for new and interesting videos, links, pictures, stories, etc on the internet but are compelled to share them with others.
This blog will continue to be used for official news and updates regarding my business and website, while the Tumblr blog is where I will post whatever I like, wedding-related or not. Hope you enjoy. =]
