Lou Cimaglia Benefit Concert
In November of 2009, Lou Cimaglia was involved in a nearly fatal car wreck that put him in a coma all the way up till last week or so. He's still in very serious but seemingly stable condition. I didn't know Lou personally, but a mutual friend of ours and experienced dancer, Brielle Crowe organized a benefit concert in his hometown high school in Vernon, NJ. I was happy to shoot the event for her so she could add the pictures to a scrapbook that will be given to Lou as soon as he's healthy enough to enjoy it. The benefit featured a few dozen dancers that Brielle knows well from her experience in the Dance Expression Company, and a medley of different styles ranging from hip hop to ballet. Featuring music by Coldplay, Regina Spektor, Metallica, Celine Dion, Jewel, and other songs borrowed from Broadway musicals, Brielle and co. managed to put on an amazing show that managed to raise $4000 for the Lou Cimaglia Healing Fund.
